As a short, it doesn't work - primarily because it looks and feels like a very long trailer to a bigger project...too many cuts for a start.
As a precursor to a feature - it has potential mainly down to one actor (the one with short hair) - he easily could be a star-in-the-making...a natural in front of the camera and with that much charisma - he could go far.
No trailer...
