CGiii Comment

Who would have thought that rugby could be so emotional.

A beautifully shot microcosm of gay life - in all its splendour, camaraderie, campery and bitchiness - with the added bonus of mud...lots of it.

There are the usual tales of bullying, rejection, being lost...and found - with a little help from a rough, tough contact sport.

You will laugh. You will cry. You will wallow - with these men - in the mud.

It's a - surprisingly - damn good film. Ms Stockwell has a fine eye and a future.

Our only complaint, The Bingham Cup is wrought with emotion - Mark Bingham lost his life in the 9/11 attacks. Perhaps, it was fitting to say a little more about how the competition came about - it's just a little too cursory.
