CGiii Comment

It starts off by spoon-feeding its audience.

All the sets look like sets...you are always aware that you are watching a film...that's not good.

The acting...bordering on lifeless line delivery. The play within a play mechanism is too simplistic.

The story could have been told in half the time - it's a story worth being told but without the required intrigue, tension and panache, it becomes a rather dull, formulaic trek.

It's Truffaut...a legendary director...you'll either love or loathe him!
