It is time that Ming-liang Tsai either changed the record or - more preferably, trashed his clapperboard.
Salome, Oscar Wilde and an indulgent faux surrealist - sure-fire ingredients for impending disaster.
For this is a disaster...quite rightly collapsing at Cannes. Why it was ever chosen to be shown in the first place will remain an embarrassing lack of judgment.
