Alluvial Filmworks present Girls' View, a collection of five lesbian-themed short films.
Open Studio — Rose gave up on her artistic career 30 years ago when she became pregnant. Now, after a life devoted to making sure her lesbian daughter found the success she wanted for herself, her daughter announces she's pregnant. The announcement unearths a rage in Rose and awakens her from her compromised life. It also ignites Rose's journey to reclaim her artistic voice and find her forgotten soul.
Unspoken is a compelling coming of age story: a tale of desire, lust and betrayal. Two sixteen-year-old girls share a friendship and affection that sparks jealousy and turns heads. But when boys enter into the picture, the dynamics shift. The illusions shatter as sex, drugs and infidelity run rampant in a junkyard.
Open - Modern ideas of monogamy are examined through reversed, intersecting timelines in this hilarious and sexy film. A well-intentioned agreement into an open relationship leads a seemingly happy, committed, twenty-something urban couple into a complex love triangle. Betrayal, bingo and sex toys perfect together!
Different - Joanne and Justin have a secret: They're straight. In the parallel universe of Liberty High School, gay and lesbian is the norm and homecoming is only days away. Starring Emily Stiles (Eating Out, Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds) and Ben Hogestyn (The Bold and the Beautiful, First openly gay character on General Hospital).
Sugared Peas - The whirlwind emotions of youthful love and coming out are explored in this evocatively filmed short. Two unrequited lovers from a convent school have a fateful meeting many years later. This heartbreaking, touchingly bittersweet film examines the fears and frustrations of attempting to establish a first same-sex relationship.
There was a trailer...but, it has since disappeared.
