CGiii Comment

Season 3...

What happened?!?

After a gripping 6 episodes, it all started to unravel in the 7th...the 8th, well, it completely falls apart.

This has everything and everyone...Marcella has gone blonde, there's a voyeuristic clean-freak, a closeted hard-as-nails bisexual, bent coppers running amuck and a hefty amount of toxic masculinity just to keep things ticking - unpleasantly - along...let's not forget Amanda Burton doing her take on Cruella De Vil!

Everything has to be commended...except for the writing. When the imagination runs out, it tends to run wild...shame, it was all so plausible up until the last - completely erratic -episode.

Season 1...

Phew...thank Gawd that's finally over...

Marcella is hard work...with twists and turns in abundance, red-herrings aplenty, suspects by the bucket-load...and, 2 hours too many...the conclusion/revelation was unsurprising, uninspiring...and, fairly predictable from episode 2.

You could drive a juggernaut through the plot-holes...as for the loose-ends...well, they can only mean one thing, a second series!

And...if a second series does come about...it would be prudent for the producers to get a new writer...preferably someone with focus and a little legal/police knowledge (or, willing to to some research)...otherwise Marcella will do more than blackout...!
