CGiii Comment

"Two former gay lovers meet after two years to discover they are still very much in love, but can never be together."

"Not Out" tells the story of Siddhant, an internationally acclaimed poet and his former gay lover Rahul, a famous Cricket player for India, reuniting after Siddhant is brutally attacked one drug fueled, drunken night in Mumbai. Siddhant recounts the story of his lost loves and the trauma he has experienced throughout his life as the source of his poetry. Meanwhile, Rahul, now married to a woman for appearances sake is drowning in alcoholism because he knows too well that India could never accept one of its leading Cricket stars as gay. The film cuts across time and space introducing a variety of characters from a wide array of the Indian socio-economic fabric to reveal a heartbreaking story of love, violence and the travails of Siddhant's artistic journey.
