Basically, this a [filmed] PhD thesis...and, very informative it is too.

In 1966, the San Francisco trans community had had enough of the continuous police harassment...they caused a minute revolution - nearly forgotten, the surviving participants tell the story.

Not quite as dramatic as Stonewall but, definitely, an interesting piece of contemporary/social history.
