Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender

Country: UK, Language: English, 107 mins

  • Director: Rhys Thomas

CGiii Comment

It claims to be intimate but...nothing seen in front of a camera is intimate.

Freddie chose to show what he wanted people to see...

This profile does go a little further than most, time loosens lips - friends recount their memories for public consumption - obviously, editing out the less-savoury bits.

Having met Freddie...the less-savoury bits are something to feast upon.

Still and always, Freddie will be missed...there's no point in trying to find out who the real Freddie was - just let his music speak...because it speaks for itself.
