Infertility is just the beginning of a long road towards bearing a child for the couples at the center of haveababy, Amanda Micheli’s documentary profile of patients of a Las Vegas fertility clinic. Each year, they host a YouTube-based competition called “I Believe,” aimed towards giving one lucky couple a shot at an in vitro fertilization treatment they might not otherwise be able to afford. Hundreds of couples and individuals apply, yet there can be only one winner. Even after the competition ends, Micheli's sensitive lens continues to follow the treatments of the various competitors—depicting the enormous physical and emotional tolls, and the inspirational rewards that infertility and its treatment can have on individuals and their families.
