CGiii Comment
This is about being [a little] 'different'...and how that 'difference' can [radically] alter the course of your life.
This is about a hate crime...and how that hate manifests itself into unspeakable violence.
This is about coping...and how the human mechanism kicks into action when the unexpected happens.
This is about Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD...about those 'invisible' disabilities.
This is about fantasy, about imagination, about escape, about survival...wrought from pain and brought beautifully to life by Robert Zemeckis and his team. Some of the edits are - truly - sensational...
But...Welcome to Marwen has certainly divided opinion and [sadly] fared less-well at the Box Office [it bombed]...perhaps the only heroes the general public want to see have to be prefixed with 'super' - such a shame.
Still...for those who want their heroes to be less fantasy and more fantastic...this here film will certainly satisfy the more down-to-earth.
