CGiii Comment

Hot off the heels from My Big Fat Greek Wedding - Vardalos throws all caution to the wind and presents the world with a little ditty that has neither finesse nor sophistication - but a whole lot of charm.

Lembeck directs with the TV heavy-handedness and the story rattles from the insane to the trite sensitivity that every woman must bestow upon gay men.

It would be too easy to disregard this film due to its flimsiness but it was conceived and made with entertainment in mind and it certainly succeeds on that basis.

Strictly not for the intellectuals.

Harmless fun.

The(ir) Blurb...

After accidentally witnessing a mafia hit in the Windy City, gal pals Connie and Carla skip town for L.A., where they go way undercover as singers working the city's dinner theater circuit ... as drag queens. Now, it's not enough that they become big hits on the scene; things get extra-weird when Connie meets Jeff -- a guy she'd like to be a woman with.
