Fairly formulaic story of an American perfectly flawed God-fearing family - the flaw being a gay son.

Possibly the most putrid parents - especially the mother.

All in all, for the time it was made, a sober and near-sensitive film focusing on being gay rather than the AIDS issue (although mentioned).

Not too bad.
