Urmi

Country: India, Language: Hindi, 11 mins

  • Director: Jehangir Jani

CGiii Comment

Melodramatic, amateur rubbish.

It's composed of badly filmed street scenes of Mumbai with the odd bit of bad acting (the toilet scene is a joke) and that voice-over.

The final scene, a last supper is...beyond explanation.

The(ir) Blurb...

Urmi is a transgendered person living in Mumbai. The city unfolds through her. She haunts public toilets and walks streets searching for love while going through violent encounters with homophobic people and authorities. One incident makes her decide to choose her real self and live it.
