Carrey over-acts (as usual) and McGregor just can't act - although he has had plenty of practice.
Considering this was based on a true story - both writer and director have stripped it of any credible realism and presented a camp travesty instead - showcasing both stars' ability to act all poofy.
No wonder it didn't get a cinematic release - nothing to do with the subject matter - it's just a bad film.

Steven Russell is happily married to Debbie, and a member of the local police force when a car accident provokes a dramatic reassessment of his life.
