CGiii Comment

Cristina is about to turn 50 and has no life outside of the home. She has spent her whole life taking care of her ailing, emotionally manipulative mother Carmen. When Sandra, an old classmate, comes back into town after the death of her father, Cristina starts spending time with her. Carmen is deeply upset, all the more so because Sandra is a lesbian. The conflict comes to a head when Sandra is sexually assaulted and Carmen is openly dismissive. Cristina is finally pushed to her breaking point.
