When her best-friend Alma Flora dies, transgender Latina Fidelia Duval plans a funeral to pay homage to her life as a woman. When Alma Flora's parents arrive unexpectedly from Mexico they arrange to bury her as a man instead. Fidelia must find away to honour what would have been her friend's wishes before it is too late.
