Take something that once was held [very] close to many hearts...and, wring the life out of it!
Whatever were they thinking!?! Okay, admittedly, the last season of the [old] L Word was a shambles...but, what went on before warmed the cockles of many a heart. There will be no warming of the cockles with this [re-hashed] resurrection.
The returning [older] characters are like a breath of fresh air when compared with the [mostly] irritating new ones. Gaps in the writing [and there are chasms] are filled with gratuitous sex and nudity...and, those gaping chasms are littered with some seriously atrocious acting.
The original L Word was made for a niche market...that niche has just gotten a whole lot smaller. So, if you are an older fan, you will be disappointed. The youngsters may or may not flock to it [doubtful if they will]...those who do will wallow in a swamp filled with PC tropes.
