Distance

A woman returns to the family she abandoned five years ago, to be with the woman she loved. As everyone is struggling not to reopen old wounds, and to stay civil, she embarks on a journey to reconnect with her daughters. The oldest daughter is particularly resentful, but may understand her mother better as she falls in love with a girl herself. Splendid drama with simmering, suppressed emotions.
