Miss Gaby

In this early super-8 short from Derek Jarman, 'Miss Gaby' gets ready for her close up, Sunset Boulevard-style. Primping and preening herself in the make-up mirror, she applies her mask while an admirer pays court from an unmade bed. Like many of Jarman's early films it is silent, with no titles. For this reason it has been known by a few alternative names, including 'Miss Gaby Gets It Together' and 'I'm Ready for My Close-Up'.
