Silent Pride, written and directed by Kristy Philipps, is a Welsh LGBTQ+ coming of age short film. Set on the outskirts of a teenage house party, Sammy (played by Kristy Philipps) discovers a connection with Ffion (Rhiannon Jones) that pushes her to question her sexuality. As Sammy is unable to speak British Sign Language, the two find it difficult to communicate at first, but they soon discover a world of their own where they can understand each other perfectly. One where silence speaks louder than words ever could. This heartwarming film puts the spotlight on LGBTQ+ and Deaf communities and celebrates them through a story of love and hope.
