CGiii Comment

Sensitive [but, resilient] souls...on the hardest of roads.

This is a film that shows - quite perfectly - how [idiotic/corrupt] people-in-power have [completely] screwed it all up.

People do not uproot themselves, set [themselves] upon a journey of 1000s of miles with little or no money...for no reason. They want to feel safe...free, from discrimination, bigotry, bullying...and, fear.

There are tears...but, there are also smiles [and miles] and joy. These women may have left everything behind...but, their hopes, their dreams...and, their dignities...all remain intact.

Timothy Wolfer chose his subjects wisely...the sensitive, the stoic and the shady...yes, there is a sting in the tail of this tale. One that would be incredibly interesting to investigate further.

So...whatever your [negative] views [and thoughts] are, about immigration...put a lid on them. Watch this...a film with such power and punch...and, delicacy. We, in less-corrupt and safer countries, should not rest on our state-given laurels. There are people out there who need our help. There are governments [out there] that are beyond help. United Nations!?! What do you actually do? These caravans exist because of your impotence and redundancy.

There is no easy answer to this continuing meltdown...but, at least, we can get the message out there, we can [collectively] help the best we can. That's exactly what Mr Wolfer has done with this film...and, done it with dignity. We applaud you...unanimously.

The(ir) Blurb...

In this documentary about friendship and perseverance, three young transgender women from El Salvador and Honduras go on a 2,400-mile journey with the high-profile migrant caravan. These women, strangers at the outset and fleeing extortion, discrimination, and abusive relationships, endure hardship as they slowly make their way to the US, teaming up with other trans girls along the route and integrating with the caravan's LGBTQ community.
