The nature of human existence can be found in the battle with dissatisfaction.
Desire Hostility Delusion Synopsis Desire, Hostility, Delusion is a story about 4 women. Two career driven women, a lawyer and a cinematographer, find themselves in a 10 year relationship that started with the understanding that children where not part of they’re dream. Comfort and security was they’re objective, and in life it’s only a matter of time before women no matter they’re sexual preference, has an urge, a maternal desire to have a child, or so one would think. The need to fulfill a yearning for a child becomes desperate for Gabby. This relationship takes a turn for the worst when Tess unwilling to give up the life she worked so hard to establish, made very clear that she was satisfied without children. Her words or feelings were not enough for Gabby to except. It was not just a maternal instinct for Gabby, it was a need for completion, family, tradition everything that a women that thought like a man would desire, an ego to satisfy, an emotional void to fill. Secondly, two women economically challenged, Toni a production assistants need to have a child turns to desperation as well. Dealing with two previous miscarriages, sent Toni on a downward spiral of drinking, drugs, and depression. Her worth as a woman she thought useless. Her lover Stacy decides to seek out a surrogate to fulfill Toni’s need. The trouble with this plan was that Stacy is a drug dealer and needed to sell more drugs in order to pay for the surrogate. One often confuses desire with what may be realistic necessities, and it often turns to anger. The delusion that one may experience far exceeds the truth, until there is no way to turn back. ‘’Desire, Hostility, Delusion.’’
