CGiii Comment

A teenager is faced with the choice between rising up to become the better man or debasing himself for acceptance.

Set in an indeterminate pre-internet era, and shot in rich 16mm, Riding Scooters is a riveting tale of groupthink and toxic masculinity through the eyes of a Chinese-American adolescent. Living with bullying, sexual frustration and low self-esteem, he must figure out what kind of man he wants to be.
