CGiii Comment

What a journey. Never underestimate a child!

A deadpan, female police chief is transferred from the city to an alcohol-imbued fishing village - after a lesbian sex scandal! She, herself, is no stranger to a tipple or ten.

A dull outpost...where she collides with a maverick, mafiosa-like hierarchy, illegal immigration, indentured slavery, a mad granny on a moped and a physically/mentally/verbally abused young girl...these two lost souls bond.

What follows is palpable manipulation...by the story, by the characters and by the director...keeping you on your toes with truculent, shifting empathies.

It's intense, it's exhausting and it will even question your moral fibre...that's an achievement!

On her first day to the village, she encounters with Dohee who is the girl living in the town, seeming to have somewhat gloomy looking face. As Young-nam tries to accommodate with her new surroundings, an accident of Dohee's grandma getting killed by falling in the seashore cliff happens.
