CGiii Comment

The tired old prison drama gets another airing...offering little in the way of originality.

And let's face it - few prison dramas are authentic...because, if they were - they would be incredibly boring because nothing really happens when people are locked in their cells for 23 hours a day.

It's all artistic license...prisoners freely wander around, popping into their neighbour's cell for a cup of tea and a chinwag...bollocks.

It's brutal - as you would expect.

It's fairly well made. The strong central performance is let down by a weak support.

Run-of-the-mill and ethereal.
