CGiii Comment

Sex and teenagers...what a befuddling muddle!

Throw in a sexually liberated mother [who also happens to be a sex therapist] and watch as the mysteries of sex are revealed and explained [and paid for]...in an old, disused lavatory!

The writing just about covers everything, no stone unturned, so to speak. It's crisp, frank and educationally entertaining...there ain't no silly 'birds and the bees' metaphors, this is factual...and, gritty.

Yes, the target audience is the YAs...but, for those with 'experience' it will certainly bring back a swathe of torrid and titillating school-day memories.

If this had been played solely for laughs, it would have fallen flat on its face. Of course, there are laughs to be had...but, some of the stories are utterly heartbreaking...and, will serve as painful reminders of how gruesome and delicious puberty was, is and will always be.

For kids questioning the sexuality, this will [most assuredly] help - especially those who continue with their denial but act upon their desire!

Yes folks...this is not a flimsy, sexy teen romp. This is hard facts delivered by a spirited young cast...with Gillian Anderson giving sound and eyebrow-raising advice.

It is rather brilliant.
