CGiii Comment

Two recently graduated high school seniors, Drew and Paul, break up the eve of their Freshman Orientation at a progressive liberal arts college in the northeast. Forging his own path once on campus, Drew finds connection with Reed, a junior and his Orientation Advisor. Through Reed's mentorship, Drew begins to face the realities of his own sexuality, while being exposed to larger issues of the day. Drew creates an LGBT-themed Timeline for his Orientation Project. The collage is a memorial for his uncle, recently lost from complications with AIDS. This culmination of experience and artistic expression contrasts sharply to Paul's experience at the school.
