Etienne Christian, a writer, stops one day and takes Rudy, a boy rebel into his car. In the car, the tension mounts. Etienne can not help but look insistently at the young man, so much so that it's almost indecent.
The teenager, he quietly steals money from his wallet. Hardly had the two been met and Stephen feels that an obsession is being born. He definitely wants to see him again.
Rudy is a boy with a fuzzy personal history, who spends his time hanging out in the streets with his gang of thugs, making half hustling, stealing and physically assaulting men who came looking for youngsters for a fun time.
Etienne on the other hand, lives in a beautiful house with his wife Valentine (Emmanuelle Riva of "Hiroshima Mon Amour") that on their wedding day told him " I love you too much to love only you." The couple obviously is having an open relationship and it is understood they have already experienced a triangular relationship with a young woman.
Etienne speak rather freely to his wife about his feelings for Rudy . But still some hypocrisy: he says he wants to help them get back on the right track when in reality he is obsessed by his youth and desire he bears . Rudy finally agreed to see him and even come spend a weekend in the bourgeois couple. Between hatred and repressed desire, it ends up no longer support the false calm atmosphere of a home where everything is subject to ambiguity. Gradually, Etienne is lost in his fascination and desire to possess Rudy, to the point of hurt and put his own life at stake...
