CGiii Comment

To be absolutely honest...this film sat on the shelf gathering dust, it didn't exactly scream: WATCH ME!

Not being a hardcore Trekkie, Spock was Spock...never really had the inclination to delve any deeper nor to analyse Star Trek to any great degree of enlightenment.

So...what a surprise this film delivered...who would have thought that there was so much more to a wobbly 60s sci-fi series! And, the man behind the pointy-eared, green-blooded, instantly recognisable hair-do-ed half-alien...

Spock was always a little intense...well, let's just say the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Mr Nimoy took it all so seriously...to the detriment of his family. This film is part catharsis for his son, the director, and part tribute.

Just like Spock, Mr Nimoy mellowed with age...his legacy, few leave behind such an indelible creation...a creation that will continue to live long and be prosperous...aided and abetted by all that subtext and homoeroticism!
