CGiii Comment

Young Anton arrives to the capital to apply for a job but there is nothing to be had. Instead he finds two ruthless friends that know a fiddle. Anton goes home with older, homosexual men and the two others follow to blackmail the gays. In fear of getting their sexuality exposed, these do not dare to report the robbery. Apart from focusing on society’s problems for youngsters “Sin Alley”, as the first Danish film shows sympathy for gays of that time who had to live in hiding while being exploited. With splendid reviews “Sin Alley” was hailed as a Danish film triumph by the critics.
