Country: UK, Language: English, 60 mins

  • Director: Stephen MacLean

CGiii Comment

Sadly, it's not a great documentary for [and about] a great entertainer.

His homosexuality is practically ignored, his long-time partner is mentioned briefly [but, not as his partner].. As for the Oscar-win, blink and you'll miss it.

The film editing is crude and the sound editor should have been shot. There are unnecessary clips of Judy Garland and Harry Connick Jr singing...and, nothing from his ex-wife [of 7 years], Liza Minnelli. In other words, this is a sparse biography...and Peter Allen was not sparse with words!

He deserved better than this!
