CGiii Comment

The voice-over, in a Capote-like voice is excruciating...that whining drawl will send shivers down your spine.

There are some particularly dodgy performances - unforgivable.

As for the writing...here lies a true mutilation of Capote's work...by Flanigan.

With all these faults, this is neither engaging nor enjoyable.

It comes across as a poofy To Kill a Mockingbird - which is just too hideous to imagine.

Stay well clear.

The(ir) Blurb...

Joel Samson, a young boy of 13, is summoned to a sprawling and decaying plantation house to meet the father he has not seen for nine years. On his arrival, he meets Amy Skully, the mistress of the house, and Randolph, her debauched and eccentric cousin. His father is nowhere is sight. Joel later discovers the man lying paralyzed in the attic of the crumbling mansion whereupon he begins to unravel the mysterious secrets that lie within the house.
