CGiii Comment

Start off as you mean to go on...by switching this drivel off after the first sex scene!

Alas, there are many more to follow...including one scene that was unnecessarily explicit.

Two things that really screw this film up...a dreadful script and some truly horrendous performances...when pretty faces can't act, it becomes more than a tad embarrassing to watch. Stick to the day-time soaps boys...their demands on talent are much, much less than what a credible film needs!

Here, every character is either a lewd, lecherous twat...or, just a twat. It is beyond the pale to imagine that either of these men could be credible parents.

Some plays do not deserve to be made into a film...especially when the 'writer' has no idea how to adapt theatre-writing into script-writing...with such two-dimensional characters, it's a mystery as to why he even bothered...must have been chums with the director and the playwright!

The(ir) Blurb...

Troubled TV personality Steven Evans struggles to find meaning in his life in the face of the superficial world he has created. Smothered by celebrity and materialism, Steven's only respite is through solitary visits to the ocean and shallow sexual encounters with the acquaintances that orbit his life.

When his long-term partner hurls him headfirst into fatherhood, Steven's initial reluctance is gradually replaced with love, as he discovers, in his new family, a bond stronger than any he has experienced before. But the return of an unexpected visitor triggers off a series of events that thrusts Steven and his family into a cycle of loneliness, self-destruction and grief.
